Cassandra Minnifield is an associate attorney at Sefton Kelly Family Law, where she represents clients in all areas of family law. Cassandra understands that family law matters can feel overwhelming, uncertain, and deeply personal. She believes clients deserve clear communication, practical guidance, and an attorney who helps them feel informed and supported throughout the legal process. Cassandra takes pride in her ability to be both compassionate and a dedicated advocate for clients.

Cassandra earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Northern Illinois University and received her Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law. While attending both universities, she competed on nationally competitive mock trial teams and held multiple leadership positions. She also served as Administrative Editor of the Southern Illinois University School of Law, Law Review Journal.

During law school, Cassandra was recognized for her high level of achievement in trial advocacy and volunteered for more than 200 hours providing legal assistance to indigent residents. Her commitment to preparation and continuing education remains a central part of her practice today. Cassandra prepares monthly case law updates for the DuPage County Bar Association Family Law Committee, helping her stay current on developments in Illinois family law while contributing to the broader legal community. Cassandra has been selected as an Illinois Rising Star attorney in 2024, 2025, and 2026.

Outside of her legal practice, Cassandra enjoys watching football, spending time with friends and family, and playing with her pets. She is also an active member of the DuPage County Bar Association and values staying engaged in the legal community.
